WATERMAN

The portrait of an exceptional man, a native Hawaiian, Paoa Kahanamoku, also known as Duke, who became a living legend in the 1910’s by becoming a five-time Olympic swimming medalist for the United States at a very segregated time. Full of charm, kind and smiling, this adventurer made the Polynesian sport of surfing, known and popularised throughout the world.

Due to broadcast rights restrictions for this film, WATERMAN is not available online. It will only be screened in-person at Maison de la Culture de Tahiti from the 7th until 12th February 2023.
